Wow! Meatlicious is without a doubt the best Mexican / Spanish game in town right now, under the very talented Chef Gabriela. Seriously, order everything off the “Food Special” board: the tacos are addictive, especially the choricheese and the burrata with rich Mexican mole; the sea bass #ceviche was incredibly fresh, full of flavor & textures - loved it ️; the Manila clams were poppin’ in an amazing herb butter sauce that you NEED to mop up with bread at the end; the Spanish paella... f_cking sooo good, great saffron flavor and loaded with delicious treasures from the sea; and finally the crispy bread pudding with #horchata ice cream was to die for. Paired the entire dinner with a bottle of “electric lemonade (great acidity)” Michael Gindl Flora Pet Nat - an Austrian natural wine made from a blend of mostly Riesling . This is just what the wine doctor ordered, it was an excellent match with the spices, and citrus notes of each dish. We ended the night with a few ice-cold shots of Xtabentún, an anise liqueur from the Yucatán region that’s made from fermented honey - this was the perfect way to finish off the feast.
